Chobani’s Magical Unicorn Adventure

Chobani’s limited batch products aim to excite consumers by bringing something fresh, fun and creative to the yogurt aisle. As a brand that loves to do things differently, this magical new flavour was no exception! Different, surprising and delighting, the new Chobani Unicorn Dream Flip brought magic to the yogurt aisle.

Davidson was tasked with creating a flavour story SKU in Chobani’s popular Flip format to bring the unicorn concept to life. The design of the limited batch of yogurts needed to build excitement, drive consumer trial and encourage shareability by bringing unicorns to the yogurt aisle in a fun and enticing manner.

We presented six different fantastical foils, with each illustration transporting you to a unique unicorn adventure. Whether one wanted to live out their dream as a rockstar on stage, rocket through outer space or deep dive into an underwater adventure – the choice was yours! With six exciting adventures, the designs all came together as a story – that of the Chobani unicorn living its best life.

Having multiple foil designs on shelves aimed to catch the shoppers’ eyes, drive excitement and encourage collecting. The purple colour of the tubs not only complemented the chosen colour palette of pastels but it also further ensured the product stood out on store shelves.

The launch of the Chobani Unicorn Dream Flip in the envisioned design by Davidson enabled the brand to successfully tap into the better-for-you category as an alternative snack option for both kids and families. Ever since its release on July 26th, the product has become a “shareworthy” staple, generating hundreds of comments and likes across the brand’s social media channels, driving trial of first-time buyers and excitement Australia-wide.
