Woods Furniture Brand Strategy & Design

Woods Furniture is one of Australia’s largest educational furniture manufacturers with a client base of over 10,000 schools. Woods are driven by the belief that education is of the utmost importance – not just for the children of today but for our world tomorrow. A belief that has driven their team, for over half a century, to study how children learn – from a behavioral, ergonomic and cognitive perspective – to develop furniture that is flexible, adaptable and stimulating.

Woods approached Davidson to develop a competitive positioning and revitalise their brand in order to reflect their strong principles and high quality products and services.

The positioning, ‘we’re for flexible learning’ was developed and a new brand identity and visual language created to bring it to life. The philosophy of flexibility was communicated through the use of a multicoloured logo system and the human centered focus through warm, optimistic hero photography.

As part of the rollout, Davidson created a new website, from structure, content, ‘look and feel’ and build, that was bright, modern, optimistic and above all easy to navigate.
